Solar Stage to bring a new energy to Rudin's Farm
Owego Pennysaver
August 17, 2008
By Wendy Post
In an effort to support and promote solar power as an alternative energy source, Visions Federal Credit Union, Rudin's Farm and the Owego Pennysaver are sponsoring an educational event called Solar Jam on Aug. 29, 6 p.m., at Rudin's Farm in Owego.
What started as a concept for its introduction to Owego will become a reality as the Ithaca based band, Native Earthlings, transport their portable Solar Stage to the Farm Days venue for an evening jam session. The stage, which has been an on-going project, is completely powered by solar energy and, according to band member Crow Weaver, can operate all night long.
