OWEGO, N.Y. -- On Feb. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Hubbard Auditorium located at 56 Main St. in Owego, Wendy Post, a former Department of Defense Correspondent and current editor for two weekly publications that include the Owego, N.Y. and Troy, P.A. Pennysavers will address the Tioga Peace and Justice Committee regarding her experiences.
Post, who is also a writer for the Daily Review in Towanda, and has provided news coverage in Tioga County to include the recent tax increase imposed on Tioga County residents and the Cal Harris trial, will offer guests an insight into how the change in local media is affecting the government.

Post will highlight the process used to gain information, and the struggles encountered while trying to obtain it for purposes of reporting.

While serving as a correspondent for the Department of Defense, Post provided extensive coverage during the conflict in Port-a-Prince Haiti, the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing and the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Post will share about her experience, and how this experience has carved her style and increased her knowledge regarding today's media and journalism.
